Getting first bloods at level 1 just after 5.16 hit live because nobody I played against knew what's going on. It was just... disgusting. I felt disgusted playing Morde just after rework.

I remember when one of my friends new to League asked me why I liked old Morde so much and what he was about pre-rework. I showed him this clip. Beautiful, that one time the original Morde shined in LCS, not as completely broken-ass piece of rework-shit he was in Worlds. Fortunately he is a bit better now, but still, I cry for old Morde item 3070

There was a simple counterplay: if you are squishy, stay the fuck out of him and kite him down.

Ok, tbh, I know, old Morde was broken. Playing him and seeing how my opponents cry about being bursted in less than a second was my dirty pleasure. But, if rework makes champion even more broken than before, then something is wrong. Patch 5.16 Morde was one of the most broken things LoL saw. The free exp mechanic, absurd 3rd Q damage, dragon ghost... Well, I think most people remember that and don't want to see it ever again.

Not in such a small window of time. Back then, Morde was insta-burst champion. The moment you found yourself in his range, you were dead. Right now, he is more of a duelist, dishing out damage in extended fights.
