And it finally come out just for me to miss it due to my router dying on me. . . .

if it makes you feel any better, most the time that I (idk if others had this same experience) spent more time dealing with people that dodged repeatedly during champ select. One game I went through like 7 dodges I believe before we even got into a game, it's bad enough queue's were 2-3 minutes long, but toss in the ban phase plus champ select, and the 60 second trade phase, just to have someone dodge.
It was obnoxious, the few matches I did play were interesting, but next time around if the first game I plus ends up with a dodge, Ill just be queueing for something else.

Why would you want to play 5 v 5 support?
You didn't miss much outside of the most toxic game mode ever, with rampant 12 year old, and 30 year olds insulting your mommy because you gave them something they don't agree with.
