An In-Depth Guide to Beating Sion
Sion is a disgustingly broken champion. So this is a guide on how to beat this raid boss.
-
Sion has a very powerful smash attack that you need to interrupt. Typically, people will take a page out of the Prometheus book of running away from objects and run away along the length of the smash zone. But instead, you need to be smart and do what he would never expect you to do. When Sion is lifting his axe in the air, you need to go up to him and tickle him. The strategy behind this is that he will drop his axe and start laughing, because apparently being a zombie makes you 50% more ticklish. The only way to tickle him is to brush up against the front of his model with your character. Using abilities might hurt him and render your tickling efforts useless, so be careful.

When Sion charges up his shield, it's useless to attack him. The best way to deal with that pesky shield Sion gets is to avoid wasting your attacks on it. It's a good idea to wait it out, like any other shield, and go in right when it wears off. Sion is most vulnerable right as his shield
detonatesdisperses, because he assumes a "my body is ready" pose and takes more damage then. Make sure you time it correctly or you are fated to lose. -
Like many big, muscular guys with light armor, Sion is Dovahkiin, Dragonborn. He will occasionally use the FUS-RO-DAH shout to launch your minions at you. To be honest, if he has stronger thu'um than you, there's nothing you can do. So, in order to deal with this you must go to the enemy fountain, where you will find the words of power for Whirlwind Sprint, allowing you to negate the force of FUS-RO-DAH. The words of power must be obtained right as minions spawn, and you may encounter an enemy teammate or a dragon or two, so make sure you are well-stocked with potions before you go.
-
When you hear the gong, Sion is charging. Of course, he is big and his charge is devastating. However, what most people do not know is that Sion grows more and more tired the longer he runs, so if he runs for a long distance, you can simply stand in front of him and he will trip. Sion doesn't have a proper right foot so getting up will take time. Use this time to whittle him down.

Sion doesn't follow the rules. If you manage to kill him, he suddenly becomes a sore loser and, like your friend who hates losing at board games, he will try to flip the table over and walk out. The correct way to handle this is to be prepared: bolt the board to the table. In-game, this translates to spam the S key to stop yourself from getting flipped over. Show that sore loser who's boss.
Thank you for taking the time to read this guide, and I hope that you have an easier time dealing with this ridiculous boss than I did. I will answer any questions in the comments, of course.
