I can't help but feel that Riot's just pulling out a prerequisite to gutting the Tiny Master of Evil.
First, AP for sneezing on champions should have never been a thing. Before the mage update, you got to 200 AP stacked on your passive by EARNING IT. And that took skill. But the reward was high.
Second, he SHOULD get 5 AP on takedowns. That's how it always was for Level 9 Veigar. But in his current state, it's unhealthy.
Third, Riot should consider changing him back to how he was. When the only satisfaction a heavy Veigar player can get is by playing full tank Veigar Support, you have issues.
