If it makes you feel any better I got bronze 1, but I also did go 2-8. Gold 3 - bronze 1. Looks like you went g5 to s5. Probably doesn't feel like it .... but those 8 wins did save you a couple divisions..... so I guess take it for what's is worth.

Dropping a full tier (i.e. Gold 5 to silver 5) is pretty common. Also, your first placement games are weighted more heavily than your later placement games so if you lose your first 2 and then win your last 8 you'll be placed lower than if you win your first 8 and lose your last 2.
