Now if they both got a killing spree by killing eachother. . . .they they also get the shutdown gold too?

There's usually one that's recorded as dying before the other, so that person would be unable to obtain the spree, but if the other person got a spree from the kill the first person to die would get a shutdown out of it. I had it happen just the other day actually.
