Damaging an enemy caused that enemy to bleed, dealing physical damage over time. That blood is then stored in a resource bar, at 2 blood per stack gained for the duration of hemorrhage. Once Darius has 100 blood his abilities become empowered, causing his abilities to do 42%-60% bonus damage (scaling with level), and his hemorrhage to do 50% bonus damage (Double to champions). Last 10 seconds and darius can not collect more blood for 15 seconds after becoming empowered.
