It's also a Gundam. Or at least a mobile suit. So technically it just had to be built to withstand that much recoil, something that is relatively easy in a world where giant robots are about as common as cars.

Closest comparison would be a modern tank, and tanks have to have excellent suppressors to function like that (although on tanks it's just called a muzzle break), in addition to other stabilizers.

So yes, it is just built to withstand that much recoil, largely because it has a good muzzle break.
