Not sure you understand what a one-shot is. "One-shot" indicates that you are dead in one hit, not R+Rocket Belt+ E+Q. Such as, Caitlyn crit hitting a Heimerdinger with a headshot, killing him on the spot.

uhm no ^^ a one-shot indicates death within a short amount of time or an instant burst, what you talk about is a onehit. or a oneshot from Nasus, who does one-q people

The definition of one-shot is debated and often interchanged with one-hit. I doubt we will see a day where it is solidified as one or the other.

sadly. Oneshots differ from champion to champion. if you have something like a cait or a Nasus, a oneshot can indeed be one AA. but for ability based champs it is mostly referred to as the use of one ability or one rotation. fizz combo is the best example for such

then couldnt that just be called, you know, "one burst"?

I mean one shot meaning one hit or one rotation is misleading.

one shot meaning one hit and one burst meaning one rotation is as straight forward as you could possibly ever hope for.

the only reason why people want to use "one shot" to cover everything is just because it sounds cooler than any of the alternatives.

in truth though. one shot is one shot. one burst is one burst. there's no shame in what it is because whomever died is still dead in a disgustingly low amount of time.

dont round up on your p*nis size and dont buy a bigger bra because you're insecure, call a spade a spade already people.

the example is similar to the term "house"

you dont specify between bungalow and villa unless youre just that geeky. you just say house, regardless.

same with this. only someone whos about the ego to prove himself right creates a difference where there is none. one-shot is the General term, one-hit and one-burst are the subterms that create a false sense of difference for the sake of argues just like this one

Really? because everywhere i have ever been both online and in reality, everyone uses the term the realtors used to describe their house as what their house is. where is you live what you call home. if what you reside in has a term other than "house" 9 times out of 10 if you meet someone who lives in one of those, that's what they call it.

"I live in an apartment" "I live in a duplex" "I live in a villa" (actually knew a person who lived in a villa so thats what they called it)

it's called the playboy mansion. not the playboy house. a house is a house and a spade is a spade. one shot and one burst are not the same. anyone trying to equivocate is anyone who doesnt want to call their use of 3-5 abilties and maybe an active over a short period of time as a "one burst" because they just cant give up using the cooler term.

One shot/one hit are not general terms. They are very black and white terms. "One" meaning "1," as in "singular," as in "not 2 or more." Shot/Hit both mean an attack or spell or anything that comes into contact with and damages an enemy. Therefore, one shot/ one hit means that is is death by a single attack/spell/whatever and not a full combo of 3-4 spells and autoattacks. There is absolutely no gray area here because "one" is "one" and anything that requires more than "one" is by default not a one shot/one hit.

ima say this now without scrolling down further, your definition is literal one shot, a normal one shot is a death from full health in about somewhere from less than 1 sec or less than .8 sec
