what does it matter whos fault it is? The reason you tax is to make up for the time you spent helping a lane get ahead. If you tried to gank and didn't achieve anything, then you're just putting the lane you tried to gank behind.

you are speaking pretty situationally, if the enemy laner(s) are forced out of lane by the gank, they arent getting behind, you are also assuming they wont miss that cs anyways.

im silver elo yo, laners have like 100 cs at 25 minutes. i pass most of them as jungle. LUL

well forcing a back isn't really a failed gank, that's okay to tax a little.

thats a failed gank imo, since the jungler gains nothing from it, its wasted time. ill take a few cs for my trouble.

especially from the sivir who had 96 farm at 28 minutes!

You don't gank to get ahead as a jungler, you gank to get your lanes ahead. But if you force a back, it's fine to take a creep or two because you did successfully help the lane.
