Then your team gets baron, is full health, stronger than the enemy 5v5, enemy has 2 open inhibs, but your toplaner thinks it's the perfect time to split push right?

Depends how much of a lead you have because if the enemy team can still evenly trade with you the whole team splitting is much better. Getting baron pressure in all 3 lanes as well continuing to use your lane advantage would be much better than you pushing down mid hoping for a mistake. Unless of course you're like 10 gajillion gold ahead then you should take advantage of the 5 v 5.

no your first priority would be to kill those inhibs because there's no tower to stop you and it would force a weaker team to fight you (likely allowing you to push and end) or let their inhibs die, split pushing here is a blatant throw that is frustrating as hell to see.

I guess we didn't really both read what each other said, but yeah it just depends how you want to prioritize. Going with how you said if you're stronger 5 v 5 being 4 v 5 you shouldn't have a problem unless your team is something such as your top laner is the main tank, jungle is bruiser, and mid/adc/supp are squishy. While the enemy top/jung/supp super tanky, mid bruiser, and adc full damage. Something like this I'd understand would be throwing if you were trying to force 5 v 5's.

maybe you are the top laner i'm talking about XD. There is no reason to give them a numbers advantage when you have everything going for you. Assuming your team will win a 4v5 to do some random split push is a perfect way to throw a lead.
