Make a list of 20 things you hate in League of Legends

Love it or hate it, we keep coming back to this game. But even amongst those of us who love it, there are things about the game we hate.

So put up your list of top 20 things you hate in League of Legends.

Just so I'm doing something, here's my own list. This is personal opinion, so take appropriate NaCl.

#Moderate Inconveniences

20. The lack of a "Warded" ping. Because the "Danger" and "Caution" pings are open to misinterpretation and you shouldn't be typing "Warded" because typing is bad for the game.

19. When those Scuttle Crabs start the game with 1060 HP instead of 800 HP. It just grates on me because if I'm playing a slow-clearing tank it takes that much longer to kill my first Crab.

18. Wards. Constantly spoiling your ganks and making you wonder whether or not the enemy is actually maphacking. And it always feels like your enemy has more of them than you could ever have.

17. The Rune System. I dunno about you, but I find the Rune system isn't very good for gameplay these days. There's virtually no variety in what people do with it, and it all boils down to micro-optimizations. Fortunately, Riot is probably gonna rework it soon.

16. When people ban Lux. There are so many other worthwhile Champions to pick for your ban, so why ban her? It's such a waste when you can counter her with Fizz, Gragas, or a variety of other Champions.

#Serious Annoyances

15. Getting called away from a match because of chores or something else. This is unavoidable, and my parents simply don't care about any punishments I get towards the game because they are anti-gaming. It also doesn't help that I can't afford my own living space, but them's the breaks.

14. Leavers. No one likes leavers because they ruin what could otherwise have been a good game. Knowing they'll be punished AFTER the fact doesn't help things.

13. Getting chain-CC'd. Even if you have a load of Tenacity (i.e. you're Irelia with Mercury's), you simply can't get out of it. People will always say "you dun fucked up" when it happens to you, and even though it might be true that doesn't make it any less annoying.

12. Knock-ups and knock-backs. Bar Banshee's Veil or CC immunity effects, you can't counter them or reduce them. It doesn't help that they're also really prevalent by this point because Riot dislikes the other CC's compared to displacement effects.

11. Players who always default to "this guy sucks" even when it's a case of "having a bad game". Some players are just assholes who won't believe you when you claim you're having bad luck, and you either have to kick ass or be gang-reported by them for "intentionally feeding". Thankfully, Riot tends not to take these guys seriously.

#Major Frustrations

10. Teemo. Everyone hates Teemo and we all know why. Between his mines and his blind, ganking him is usually unfeasible, and he can cause a world of grief for most top-laners. At least he's not good in team fights, but you can't ignore him either.

9. Yasuo. I really don't like dealing with a good Yasuo, and I'm sure none of you do either. Between his extremely high agility, Wind Wall, and getting a huge powerspike upon finishing 2 crit items, he's a painintheass. He's not impossible to handle, but fighting him always feels like an uphill battle.

8. The uselessness of Thornmail. Even when you get it against a team of 4 AA-heavy Champions, this item remains a piece-of-shit. MR and lifesteal counter it, and you need too many different stats to make it even borderline effective. Even with Rammus or Malphite, this thing keeps letting me down.

7. Players who get mad at you because you didn't gank their lane. Maybe I didn't have any openings or maybe another lane was in trouble, but they don't care. You didn't gank for them and so they're either gonna flame you all day or they'll throw the game, all because you didn't consider them the center of the universe. At least in this case you can leave them to die if they're being a bitch to you.

6. Turrets. Pretty much the epitome of "useless", turrets tend to only work against you, regardless of which side they're on. If you're doing the dive, they seem to hit you like a truck all the time. If you're trying to hug them, they're always worthless. And oftentimes they'll leave you wishing you could just kill your own turrets for their incompetence.

#Rage-Quit Worthy

5. Getting your jungle dominated by the enemy. Imagine this: your team is getting pushed back, you're the jungler, and you need to farm for items. But every entrance to your jungle will either be warded or guarded, and trying to retake control becomes a suicide mission. Pretty much no matter what you do, your jungle area is lost. This just makes you want to surrender or leave.

4. When enemies use Flash to dodge your CC skillshots as they dive you. Seriously, when that happens, you just want to strangle that guy, especially if that Flash leads to you dying. It's even worse when they use Flash instead of some other ability that could've achieved the same result.

3. Getting Baron Nashor stolen. When you see that happen, you want to kill the player who did it, and not in an in-game sense. They might die for it, but that doesn't help the fact that your team just fought Baron Nashor for nothing, and now the enemy team can't be pushed. What a bitch.

2. When enemies survive fights with 1 HP. Seriously, why don't they bleed out? All it would take is one minion poking them to finish the job, but nope, the enemy survives by the skin of their teeth and now they're taunting you over it, and there's nothing you can do to shut them up (not even muting).

1. When enemies seem to ignore your defenses without a Last Whisper or Void Staff. Oh look, you have over 200 armor and 3k health? Sorry, but even though their ADC doesn't have his/her ArPen item, they're still gonna tear you apart like you have 0 resists. It oftentimes leaves me hating Riot's philosophy that offense must outscale defense at all times, but nothing is gonna change that. On the flipside, whenever YOU try to kill someone who's tanky, even with ArPen, they never seem to die. It's kinda bullshit when that sort of thing happens.

#Honorable Mentions

  • Players who don't take your threats seriously and troll you for it.

  • Players who steal your buff camps.

  • Players who t-bag you.

So that's my list. What's yours?

  1. Everything Yasuo
  2. Max % Health True Damage
  3. Damage Creep
  4. Autofill
  5. Riot gutting champions/Leaving them weak (Aatrox, Vladimir, Taliyah)
  6. Total stomps in games (For or against me)
  7. Tower Weakness
  8. People who say "GG EZ"
  9. Riot being biased towards certain champions
  10. Pro play balancing over the larger portion of the community

A lot of these have to do with game balance/health, which is my biggest concern. Some of these may be true or not, but still hate them.

I'll give it a shot:

  1. Mobility creep has been a thing for far too long
  2. When there is a moment of lag that causes me to miss a skill shot or die in some dumb manner
  3. Supports still seem to be either neglected or get their new toys taken away to be smashed with a nerf bat
  4. Key stones have ruined balance a lot more lately
  5. True tanks aren't allowed to deal damage, but some mega power champs can build tank for a while before it gets looked at
  6. Tanks get shot down way to fast
  7. Damage is too high
  8. Ping spamming
  9. Afk's 10, People that spam "gg" after first blood and sit in fountain crying instead of playing the game
  10. Still no pool party urgot skin
  11. Current rotating game mode selection
  12. People cry for URF, then complain about the lack of balance in it while it's here
  13. The new client lacked a number of features when it was first brought out
  14. If I put support as my secondary, I'll get support more often than not
  15. When I get auto-filled to ADC
  16. The insane amount of importance put onto LCS now, when the game started with it only being a fun side thing
  17. Tank items are too expensive for how little they do in terms of damage reduction
  18. Non-mana resource champions with poke in their kit
  19. The balance team

As a Shen Main I can pretty much summarize my list in one thing

1.https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/193112914251481089/260783562016555008/unknown.png

(Yes I know he is still Seeing LCS play and is still decent in team play, but it always seems like the nerf bat is targeting him lmao.)

Your 12 is amusing since its because of Riots favoritism. Who are the 2 biggest offenders of knock ups or displacements? LeeSin and Yasuo Which just so happen to by Riot's golden children.

As to the things I hate the most about this game.

  1. Yasuo as a whole. While its not impossible to work around him, its kinda dumb that a fighter/assassin has a built in shield for literally just walking around for 2 seconds. Windwall is still the most hated PoS in the game. And you honestly don't have to be good at Yasuo to work. I am not saying you can get to Diamond being bad. But a Yasuo in just about every game will become a threat due to his crit passive. I lost count of how many times I would see Yasuo be like 0/8 in the first 20 minutes of the game, but just because he built 2 crit items, he suddenly can kill anyone he wants, or even 1v2 or more.

  2. Lee Sin. Even though his ult got nerfed he still has literally too much to him. He has 7 abilities, one of the highest base movement speeds in the game, is tankier than just about any other tank early game due to his shield and free lifesteal and spell vamp. And it doesn't help he basically is resourceless. Then again most of the energy champs are a joke since I only ever see Shen actually have real energy cost.

It comes as no surprise the above two are again Riots love children and are above the law.

  1. Balance as a whole in League. And I am not talking about the "Hurrdurr this champ is OPPPPPPP!!!! Gutt himmmmm" kind. I mean the kind like the crap like having a playrate at like 30%+ and having a winrate of 50%+. Something is wrong in situations like that. Best example I can use so people don't cry will be an older one. Lucian during late S5, early S6. Where all he built was item 3071 and item 3142 and was broken as fk. He had something like a 60% playrate and also like a 60% winrate. It was BS as hell.

  2. Toxicity. This one has been beaten into the ground so I won't say much on it. All I can say is there is something wrong when its such a problem here but just about any other online game has a vastly better handle on it. Riot needs to get more serious and ban people faster. Its not like its the end of the world if Riot has to permaban thousands of players. At least a smart company would choose to possibly lose a bit of money from a toxic person than lose the good players that possibly will not only get more people to play, but spend money more likely and more at that.

  3. Tryharding. In Ranked it makes perfect sense, its competitive so I 100% back being tryhard in there, and at that I 100% back the people that flame at the people that do dumb shit in Ranked. I don't like toxicity but at the same time I hate people that don't belong to play a gamemode they have no reason to be in. But in other gamemodes its like really? Basically all Rotating gamemodes in a nutshell. Play Ascension? Expect Shaco, Udyr, Darius, Ezreal, Evelynn, and Singed in every game if you allow them. Urf? Have fun dealing with Nasus, Viegar, Hecarim, Fizz, Ezreal. And it goes on.

  4. Snowballing. Nothing is fun being the one that snowballs or the one having to deal with it. While I know a lot of people don't want the wet noodle fights that last 50 minutes everygame. But at the same time having games often be decided by 10 minutes is kinda dumb as well. When a game ends in 20-25 minutes, even if you are the winning side its such drag. If your side is 25-1 or 1-25 its boring.

  5. Towers. They are worthless now. The whole point of them is they were meant to be some form of safe heaven early game and there to protect you but you had to protect them later on. While I am not saying if you are at 10% hp and someone dives you you should live. But when its 5 minutes in the game and you are at full hp and get tower dived by 2 people that are like lvl2-4. I would expect the tower the tower to kill at least one of them if you fought back, not get out scott free after taking 3-4 hits.

I actually felt bad for that Teemo because he went back to lane just to die to me. If I landed 1Q I towerdove him. From full HP.

Sure, why not. I've played this game all the way from season 2 back in my home country.

  1. Toxic community (for obvious reasons)
  2. Concept of Tilt
  3. Tanks can potentially dominate in any meta no matter how much Rito changes something in the game.
  4. Every ADC is a dumbass except when it's Gosu or Doublelift.
  5. Assassin Update seriously, I'm beginning to hate these two PoS's: Rengar and Khazix ever since their changes)
  6. Matchmaking (yeah, same skill level my ass)
  7. Champions like Nasus and Veigar where you can be 0/10 and still be useful bc you have a scaling stat.
  8. Pure utility champions like Soraka and Janna bc you can be bronze but still be very hard to punish.
  9. Overpriced skins (just my opinion since I don't use or buy skins a lot)
  10. TEEMO (obvious reasons as well)
  11. Vayne because you can be the carry and the assassin at the same time and screw up the enemy ADC bc they can't scale as well as you do.
  12. S6 Tank Meta (I don't want to remember how terrifying Frozen Force Yasuo or Sunfire + Iceborn Ekko was.)
  13. The Juggernauts
  14. Sated Devourer (I'm looking at you, Tank/Bruiser Items + Sated Yi)
  15. The fact that Bronze V exists.
  16. Courage of the Colossus (I'm looking at you, Vi.)
  17. The way Rito Games balances this shitty game.
  18. Full Focus on LCS and nothing else in the community.
  19. Rito Games not updating Pulsefire Ezreal after 4 seasons from the skin's release.
  20. Everything about Yasuo Yeah even me as a Yasuo main, I just naturally hate the other side of things. So let me label everything that I/we people hate about Yasuo:
  • 2X Crit Chance
  • Shield built from mobility
  • AA extension and knock up
  • PoS wall that blocks everything that you throw at him
  • Nigh-Spammable dash so you can't even hit him unless your mouse can track him
  • 50% Armor Pen
  • His entire character overall Have a nice day.
