I boot up a game of League. (Everyone said it'd be killed by DQ but basically every single game has DQ now. Overwatch was the first of many. Now everyone complains other companies for copying RIot.)

I load up a game of Summoners Rift. There are 133 champions now. After the last two Riot kinda hit a slump. It also doesn't help that new ideas have to run a lore gauntlet. Nine out of ten potential characters die in lore before they get to release. Number ten ends up being alive but a vegetable. They make good ward skins though.

Open the items menu. Riot's been reworking every class. Everyone has new items. All the old ones are gone. By level 18 I'm able to get my Infinity Force made out of the reworked Nashors tooth, the reworked black cleaver and the reworked lich bane. My finger slips and I hit the wrong tab.

All the items have changed....except for one.

It's been decades.

Every month someone asks about it. (And the Yorick rework. He got delayed.)

"We're working on it," Riot says.

I tremble as I stare at it.

It's survived entire class updates.

Its outlived rabbadons. Its outlived infinity edge. Its outlived the twenty hextech items Riot tried to implement. The last one made your opponants have to complete a game of DoTA2 as a CC mechanic. Valve cross-promotions are a thing now. (The HotS variant is stronger because nobody plays it anymore.)

Yet still. Ohmwrecker lives on.

Tears in my eyes I stare at it. I grab the screen, shaking it, shouting to any god who would listen. By the toupe of high overlord president Trump may his reign be eternal and his wall be limitless...

The more people mention this little easter egg, the higher chance a Red designer see it and get replaced. "it's not hextech themed!". - Riot.

The easter egg is the cursor, I believe. It's one of the few things in-game that hasn't been visually redesigned.

That's not an easter egg, it's more of an artifact. An easter egg would, for example, be if the cursor does get redesigned, and the old one is found in the shop (like taric's hammer). How do people not know what easter eggs are?

I know, but I believe easter egg is the word Arkatra was using to refer to the current (outdated) cursor, even if it was incorrect.

In all Honesty,

This sounds like a very cool thing what Riot could actually do. Make interactive lore stories with community events/votes that affect the story where only one potential Champion comes out to be released.

It certainly is interesting. But they'd have to have all of those kits functionable before the vote and would lose kits from the losers.

Or the story ends with them gaining their power.

Possible Abilities that were created often get reused in other Kits.

But i don't expect them to create like 10 Champs at once and delete 9 of them again. They should just write a lore about them and then involve the community and let the things play out which character is left at the end of the story.

After a winner is decided, they make the visuals of the Champ fitting to their apperance.

I'm pretty sure Riot has many done kits already stored and just need the Visuals done. They could just take the Winner, take one of the kits that fits him and then start working on the Visuals.

I know this would still take months until the Champ would be playable, but it still would be cool

Well, Yorick has incredible zoning potential. Oh, you want to farm? drops all of my ghoals

We can have two adcs and if the ADC dies then the second bonus ADC turns into the actual ADC at full hp with no mana costs for 10 sec. And if we get ganked, I just drop my W anywhere and it slows the nearest approaching enemy. Enemies if they are clustered. It is awesome.

No. That is slated for fall 3042. though You should expect delays.

Meanwhile... Ryze has had his 12th rework. Riot can't get enough of him. Right now he has a mechanic that allows him to turn Baron into another Nexus Crystal.

And Shen has still seen no changes. Tanks got 500 base armor added thanks to the new ADC item that reduces armor by 100%, but Shen still has the lowest scaling armor. But every time I use his ult to gank the quadruple bot lane premade, I feel proud that I'm a Shen main before Katarina uses her new Bladestorm ult and instantly kills everyone in the area.

That thing that sounds good, but you never build cause it's either too late in the game for it to be useful or you have item 3512, which can practically hold a lane for you.

2033, every champ has been updated/reworked, except for Amumu and MonkeyKing, who still still have really good win rates, despite all other champs having 3-4 passives and some sort of mini-game mechanic.

I'm not sure what your field of expertise is, but explain to me how failing to predict the apocalypse some number of years ago has any bearing on our ability to predict it now?

The planet won't be here in 2033 is a very ignorant comment. If you had said Humans won't be here in 2033, then maybe you would get a little credibility. But there is no physical way for the planet to stop existing in the year 2033. As there is no asteroid big enough to delete the planet, and the sun is a few billion years to early to go supernova. Make better arguments next time.

In 2133, if I'm a teenager again by that time, and totally got a boss capable body and brain thanks to stem cell technology and gene technology, and MOBAs became a VR sport, and I have a part-time job alongside my studies, I plug myself into VR and control the champ with my 3D-sphere-interface and listen to the newest wave of music, and it's totally logical and real ... that's gonna be boss.
