Well if your Gold+ then ranked is overrated.

When you're Bronze or Silver, those exclusive skins that everyone but you is getting definitely stings. I plan on getting Gold then never playing ranked again

I can understand that. I'm mainly unranked so I don't really care about those skins.

Though if it was a Sion skin, then I'd be pissed.

Aye, it can be nerve racking but you gotta just be chilled. Assume you are playing as normal, don't go for fancy plays or try do be the next dank meme Reddit will collapse over. Pick champs you like playing that can snowball hard.

It's really not that much different. Except when people say "omg tryhards" you know the salt is coming.

idk I just seem to get people who don't try and annoy me
like a 3 man in dynamic draft that are all " HEY WE ARE ALL MID NOW!" in ranked people are better to handle.

Well, yeah, I mean I'm all for Ranked, seriously, but you can't just make stuff up that isn't in touch with reality. Ranked has always, always been a mode people avoid because of its toxicity. Granted, I don't think it's worse than Normals, but...Lots do, apparently.

it's the soul crushing feeling of repeated defeat that keeps my playing this game tbh. If you honestly really want to get gold 5 just play towards the end of the season, thats when all the bronze players are in high silver and all the actual good gold players are in plat etc because theyve climbed. season 5 took me 20 total games to get to gold 5 because i didnt play ranked till the very end, season 6 i had to vs diamonds for silver 2 rank... not a pleasant time.

Me at the start of the season: ''I'm gonna play a lot of ranked this season and hopefully end up in platinum'' Reality: I did my placements, got placed in S4, had some fun with a friend in ranked, then promoted to S3 and stopped playing ranked. (a total of 20 games, lol) Back 2 normals. summoner 31

About a month before the end of the season I made it to my plat Bo5. Being my first season I was very excited and determined to make it, I played three best of fives in one day, staying up to five in the morning. I each series was closer than the next, I lost the third because of a single team fight. The next day I was devestated, and went on tilt, went on a 15 game losing streak and ended the season at Gold V.
