What its like picking Support in team builder

It definitely does, but you need to know how to play syndra well before you play it. She does have solid poke and decent zoning, but her cc can be hard to land. Support syndra is harder to play because YOU make the picks and (some) engages and peel well for your adc, whereas mid syndra just nukes the fuck out of people. AP Syndra support CAN do that, but a little bit later on than mid syndra. All of the supports that I mentioned in my post work well as supports, whether it's through zoning, nuking, or just trolling. People think that supports have to have cc to do well, but they completely disregard the laning phase when they say that. Being able to zone someone really hard in lane with the likes of cass ap mf lb and syndra is underrated but can do a lot to hurt the enemy adc.

Define functional. All of them have some forms of cc and poke as well as a devastating all in. I find it unbelievable that people would rather take a bad "meta" pick (aka a leona that is engaging at horrible times or not peeling for their adc) than someone like me who is good at off meta or "not functional" picks onto their team. While they might not know it in champ select, I do much better when I support on these champions than on most others, and I main support. I will say that once laning phase is over shaco as a support is weaker than say, AP lux, but shaco can assassinate an adc far better than lux can, as well as make some incredibly trolly picks and plays using his ultimate. Even though he only has one meaningful form of cc he can still be played well as a support. I got reported once on ap shaco when I went 4/0 with an afk adc by my 0/6 toplaner. What's up with that? If I can play well in the position that I choose with the champion I choose, why tell me I shouldn't do it? I respect your support preferences and how you wouldn't like to lane with me, but don't you ever tell someone they can't play something. It's a game, so let me have my fun.

At least morde can steal the enemy adc, but I'm not really sure why anyone would accept a kat support XD But as one of my mottos as an AP support main, death is the best cc =3=

team commander chooses to let you in before you see the comp. that means we want you, and what you bring to the table, now not all team commanders are the same, but generally I pick something either good for the team or something that has potential to be. until like 6 of you disappear then I'll start taking any support in the game. or people that say their supports. I've taken a support singed before. and a support twitch.
