There needs to be an "opt out of premades" option in any game mode.

Reasons to enable an Opt out mode:

  1. Premade teams are statistically more likely to be toxic to soloqueue players than other soloqueue players.

  2. They also tunnel vision on their premade lanes effectively ignoring the soloqueue members of their team.

  3. They also communicate significantly less than other soloqueue players.

  4. MMR calculations for premades are poorly implemented.

  5. Duo ques in ranked can skew the measurement of an individual's skill in game.

Reasons against:

  1. It will increase the time it takes premades to find teams.

Do you have any reasons for or against?

All in all I think there needs to be an opt out of premades option for all game modes.

opinions are not facts

I disagree with 1, and 2 from my personal experience, but 3-5 are spot on.

If this applies to 2 and 3 man premades aswell, queue times for all kinds of premades would increase drastically

This is one of these things that should of been here from the start of the game lol.

I disagree, i mostly only duo queue for a few reasons:

  • My friend can go to pretty much any lane and excel at it, so i do not have to worry about him losing most of the time.
  • I can communicate with him through skype leading to better teamwork if we ADC/Sup, which significantly increases how well we do and relieves a lot of the pressure from other lanes.
  • I communicate with everyone on my team for the best teamwork possible and as long as they are not toxic to me, they will receive no toxicity from me or my partners (Solo queues tend to me more toxic towards premades even when not provoked, for pretty much no other reason then they are premade...).

So honestly i feel duo's and solo's are the same, they both can be toxic or not, they both can communicate well or not, and they both can be bad/unskilled or not. The only difference is the word "premades" gives solo's something to bitch about when they lose.

As far as premades go, there needs to be a report algorithm for them that only allows the entire premade ONE vote, regardless of if it's 2 players or 5. The report that will count is the member of the premade who has the most accurate reporting record.

You'll need to provide proof for 1, 2, and 3; 4 and 5 can be improved by better matchmaking algorithms, which Riot is already working on.

I duoQ as a jungler, an my friend tends to go to a solo lane. Because I am confident in his ability, even if he gives first blood I completely ignore his lane. I find getting the teammates I cannot talk to ahead is more important.

Reasons For:

  1. Where is your proof and source?

  2. Where is your proof and source? As someone who almost exclusively plays queued up with people, I find this blatantly false and sensationalist. Whether it is two of us or up to four of us we always fill and let the players not in the queue with us pick what roles they would prefer. Regardless of that, if the queued up group has pick order, than it doesn't matter if you don't like them not letting you get what you want, they have pick order and that is that.

  3. Where is your proof and source? Seriously, stop trying to pass off your opinion as fact.

  4. That is Riot's issue which they've mentioned working on and not something that players who want to queue up with friends should be punished for.

  5. Relevance? Getting carried by a random in queue skews your individual skill in the game. Can you honestly say that every game of all 10 legitimate solo queues has the outcome of those that deserve to win do and those that don't deserve to win don't? Because I don't believe that in the slightest.

Reasons Against:

  1. Riot places priority on people being able to play the game, it doesn't make sense for them to institute a change that delays players being able to get into a lobby and play.

Additional Reason Against

  1. Unnecessary complication of settings for new players. How are they going to know what duo queue opt out means?

  2. Drastic damage to lesser played game modes like Dominion. It already is pretty hard to get into lobbies for alternate game modes during certain times of the day and on certain servers, including this option could drastically increase the wait time even further.

  3. Purposeful manipulation of lobbies. Try to follow me on this one. In upper Diamond and Challenger, this would allow players to directly influence who they get on their team by looking at those currently queuing up and adjusting their settings and the settings of the people they do want on their team to stack their chances of getting specific team members or avoiding specific team members. That isn't acceptable.

  4. Details. Does this mean you can't queue up with anyone as well? Does this mean you can't have premades on your team or in the game in general?
