A little thing riot needs to work on.

Ive been playing League of Legends for quite some time now, and throughout my time i have learned many things. One thing ive learned is the difference between overpowered and very good. Some champions are extremely strong, while others are just outright broken. I will go in depth as to who i think is overpowered and why, not as a means of simply leaving my opinion out there, but as a means to start a discussion of what i think to be the greatest problem riot has, balancing champions.

I say champions, and not the game because they've been doing a fantastic job at balancing the game out with vision changes and map changes. However, for some reason they dont seem to notice the immense imbalances that are present in the champion pool. My idea of an overpowered champion is not one that does insane damage. Rather, my idea of overpowered is a champion who takes little to no damage while dishing out good damage or disrupting the enemy team extremely well.

Champions like Shyvana Shyvana, Olaf Olaf, DrMundo Mundo, and Volibear Volibear all seem to do way too much damage for their respected roles. I have seen Shyvana Shyvana players build nothing but tank items and 100-0 my adc while my entire team struggles to peel for them.Olaf Olaf does the job just as well, being immune to cc and making fights 4v5's in a matter of seconds from the innate damage in his kit. Volibear Volibear's damage isn't as high as the others but he scales very well with health on his w, giving him innate damage as well and making health a stat that's nearly double as effective on him as it is on other champions. DrMundo Dr. Mundo, from what i have seen, has just recently became much more popular for his ability to take not one point of damage and deal semi-good damage with his cleavers and w. He has a good attack damage steroid giving him a solid amount of aa damage which fits well into his kit because he's so damn hard to get away from. Also, if in any circumstance mundo does go one hitpoint below full hp, he can just press r and regenerate more health than my entire team has combined.

Before i get countless hate comments and trash-talking, i would like to explain my mentality. I am not saying these champions require large nerfs or that riot should make these champions useless like they were seen to be prior to the random increase in usage of said champions. All i am trying to do with this post is get a discussion going on what types of champions needs nerfs, and why. I believe minor tweaks to the champions listed above would change them from overpowered to very good champions (I explained the difference in the first paragraph). Please feel free to post your opinions, ideas, comments, but please keep them productive.

Riot simply needs more tutorials about counter-picking and how to build an effective team composition. You can find this information online, but many players don't look for it. If it were present in the game in a more hands-on environment, more people would know. Especially new players.

The champions you listed are all fighters before they are tanks. Fighters are supposed to do exactly what you say these champions can do. The problem is that players don't build proper teams in a lot of cases. The idea of countering in lanes has caught on over the past two years, but people still don't think much about the entire team composition as opposed to their individual lane.

It's not Riot that needs to change; it's the player base. Riot could help by adding tutorials that explain all this and making the game a little more competitive for everyone who plays. It would also give new players less of a learning curve when they make into Ranked play.

Power creep is a huge issue it seems these days.

It feels like ADCs have become less viable thanks to Super-Tanky Bruisers ignoring everything while still hitting hard, and Assassins 100%-0% you while you can't do much about it.

Yasuo also seems to be a huge power creep and may shake up the meta being able to completely shut down the back line, either forcing them to stay back and do nothing or go in to get blown up by bruisers or Yasuo. It may just be people don't know how to counter him, but even so, unless the meta changes, he almost always counters any ADC and most mid champs.

Granted, there is always the option to ban him, bruisers, or whatever but there is so many champs these days that are must ban. Of course, it may just be team composition problems. I feel like the meta may change soon.
