@Morello, @IronStylus, @Statikk are you happy with Eve's current state?
After Eve's remake she was a tough champion to balance. Over the course of the past 1.5 years she transited from the mid lane to the jungle, from an ap assasin to a full tank as her optimal build and it actually concerns me.
When remaking her Riot tried to keep her old playstyle and add tools so she can be a valuable pick to a team, and they succeeded, she was a relevant pick through this entire time, no matter how many hits she took, she always came back until she took the next hit.
Evelynn is one of the most unique champs thanks to her passive, Shadow Walk, which forces the enemy team to play completely differently.
The problem comes when her passive and somewhat Dark Frenzy are the only abilities that makes her feel like an assasin.
Her Q, Hate Spikes - deals sustained magic damage, which fits a mage champion.
Her W, Dark Frenzy - a movement speed steroid the with a reset that allows her to chase down fleeing enemies and after she finishing them switch to the next target or escape, perfectly fits an assasin.
Her E, Ravage - nuke that deals physical damage and gives her attack speed, fits a bruiser champion.
Her Ultimate - Agony's Embrace - An initiation ability that deal % current health and gives a shield, it's a tank ability by all means.
So from what we see Eve's skillset is a complete mess of abilities which fits different roles, and it just depends on the most strongest ability to decide what role she gonna be played, Let's call it an identity crysis. That's one of the reasons the relauch team can't decide what the hell eve is, she looks like a bloodthirsty assasin, but played as an initiator tank? This isn't the state I would like Eve to be, I want to her to be the assasin I imagine when I see her face in champion select.
TL;DR evelynn got an identity crysis and Riot should make the steps to fix it and finally release her VU.
