I love the new tank Gragas playstyle, but his W is not as rewarding as his other abilities. To improve this playstyle, I'd suggest removing the %health damage and introducing a snare (I mean, he is hitting you with a barrel right in your head, so you should be snared as if you were planted in the ground). It would improve his tank capabilities and his character.
What do you think?
That isn't the problem with the new gragas. It would just give him even more CC. His crowd control is already ridiculous. The problem with his W is that for the time it takes to queue up it can be disadvantageous to gragas as the enemy can just move away from gragas since they know he has an empowered auto ready. They're already planning on increasing the duration of his empowered auto, but I think that changing the enhanced auto into a passive on W and activating after each spell ( once every 5 seconds) could work. The damage would have to be lower, but it would mean that gragas doesn't have a large window in which he just wont be able to get in for damage due to his use of a clunky skill.
