Ranked Ladder reset

Hi I was wondering whether the ladder reset would be completely. Say I'm diamond 1 would it be possible for me to play my promotions again but end up in say bronze 3. Or could i lose most of my promotions and maybe just move down a little to like diamond 4. Thanks.
