I know Jayce's Acceleration Gate cooldown is so long for balance reasons. But it FEELS terrible!

Like, really really sh*tty. Especially when his Q's sole existence is reliant on being charged by his A.Gate first or else it's useless. Yet he also relies on it to give him a speed boost as he's pretty slow now.

I know the long cooldown and his slow MS is there for balance reasons. I understand that. But isn't there a more elegant way around it? Right now it just plain feels bad.

If they want it at the same "power level" its at right now, they should decrease the cooldown, but remove the damage amplification. Leave the range/speed boost tho.

Or something... really. It does suck hard waiting 16 seconds for it.

In this case, it's difficult to know whether it'll be worth it to cast your E to empower your Q.

I can see where you're going with this idea though. Of course, this presents an aesthetic dissonance.

How can you make the super-charged Shockblast not doing more damage feel natural? Look at it. Shockblast is initially a pathetic skillshot that does rather meh damage. Yet after passing his E, KABLAMMO! It's faster, it's bigger, and there's a really satisfying blam in it's explosion.

Your suggestion, while I see the logic behind it, will have that impactful looking empowered blast inflict no more damage than the dud that is the un-empowered blast. That just fixes one problem and creates another.

I honestly think Jayce is balanced. I never believed he was made to be played anywhere besides bot lane ADC. He has an amazing kit for an ADC, something I think Quinn should be a little more based off of.

That's kind of besides the point here. A champion can be very balanced (Twitch), but by god can he feel bad to play. The main point here is that Riot sucked a lot of the fun out of Jayce. Decision making is one thing, but right now it feels like he is outright caged by his E rather than enabled.

Also, I don't recommend playing Jayce as ADC, his range doesn't lend himself to be a very effective one.

I honestly have alot of fun playing Jayce. Pretty much every champ that can "dunk" is a ton of fun to play in my opinion. Jayce is no different to me. I feel like a lot of the constraints on people who play Jayce is that they can't overcome his limitations in an effective way (what I refer to as the Udyr problem). As for me, however, I see Jayce as a ridiculously tanky and sustain heavy ADC, who's lackluster Teemo range is overcome by ridiculous gap clear that Quinn can only get once she reaches level 6. People still hate on Quinn too for her lack of range, but she's still a very fun champion to play because of combining the fun elements of both fighters and marksmen, much like Jayce.
