Does anybody use Scrying Orb? (Blue Trinket)

Seems to me like this trinket needs some major love compared to its brethren.

item 3342 At level 1, all it's really good for is peeking into your lane brush, and, at that cool-down, wouldn't it be better to just do that with a sight ward or a warding totem, which is generally more versatile? And if you are really worried about unexpected behind-you ganks in areas that you wouldn't otherwise ward, just toss a pink ward in their early, and it'll probably stay there ALL laning phase for free.

item 3363 Even once fully upgraded, Farsight Orb's short reveal duration, area and cast-range really don't give it any sort of meaningful map awareness power, as it pretty much becomes a face-check guard for baron and nothing more, and after you use it, you'd better throw a real ward at baron.

Honestly, I feel like all the orb trinkets REALLY need right now is to have a noticeably shorter cool-down, and they can be balanced from there, but the other trinket options are just way too powerful comparatively to consider the orb as an option in most cases. Even with a sightstone, you're probably better off with a pink warding totem or an oracle's sweeper than a farsight orb

I agree with OP. Let's compare the trinkets: Reveal an area for 1 minute as long as it doesn't get pinked or swept Reveal an area for 1 second at a slightly longer range Remove a ward from an area if you correctly guess where it is

The first one of these seems the most powerful, right? Why does it also have the lowest cooldown? I think the vision game would be much more interesting if Lens and Sweeper were more important parts of the game.

Gotta say I disagree, endgame this could be really funnily used if you really try to predict where they are, a lot of people forget to ward more than you think, I've often seen people forget to pick up any of the new free wards since the updates. So as the upgraded version of this trinket, you could use it with its far range, have your team rdy and invade the enemy team doing Baron, hopefully picking up Baron as well. Huge game changer if you practice with it

Hecarim can use it early on, but should switch to level 3 ward later. So he can jump over walls with his E.

I must say that I tend to agree on this point. The range isn't terribly high, especially before level 9. I would simply buy the red/yellow trinket before lvl 9 and, maybe, switch for the blue one after lvl 9. But it's still only marginally more useful against high mobility teams or to cover unwarded objectives.

I say buff either range or reveal time to make this item worthwhile. The 500 more range on the upgrade seems lackluster for the 475 gold you have to spend for it. Actually, a lower cooldown might help it out too...

I tried it a couple of times (support main), I really wanted to convince myself that it was actually good but it's just underwhelming compared to a free ward (can upgrade for pink ward on demand) or oracle on demand that disable wards as well.

Imo both the range and the reveal duration need to be improved if Riot wants us to actually use that thing. Perhaps the CD too but it has to be kept in line with other trinkets.

Imo remove CV as a summoner spell and rework it into the last upgrade of the Orb, that'd be a good start.
