Used to be even worse when you could auto while headbutting

Alistar used to be god tier mid until they nerfed him repeatedly , and nerfed Doran's ring. However, Malphite's ult is much, much more powerful, wider radius, and knocks up higher.

I've seen Alistars mid wreck the place but one problem is that you've only got 2 damaging abilities plus you're passive and they're on fairly high cooldowns for a mage so you have very little to do besides auto attack inbetween.
