No, he definitely deserved his ban. He said something pretty damn awful. He showed that he's incapable of just moving on from a bad experience with another person by venting his frustrations in a foul display of unsportsmanlike conduct.

In fact, I actually like that he got punished. Just because you're a pro, or you're famous or whatever, shouldn't protect you from the consequences of your actions. Riot get a thumbs up on this one.

That malphite should have been banned first THEN they should consider banning dunkey. Dont know why riot prioritizes toxic people over feeders.

The malphite was intentionally feeding so he could get a reaction from someone. Banning Dunkey for getting mad at an asshole who ruined his chance of reaching his series for diamond is obviously wrong. I believe people deserve the rank they are given, and Dunkey was reaching for it. The moment he noticed the malphite was feeding he knew his series weren't coming. Of course he would get mad and show him a piece of his mind. That's how life works.

The point isn't whether he was or wasn't toxic, it's that countless players ruin the experience for others and never get punished and when you inevitably get frustrated by this and blow up you get punished. If his teammate was just trying his best like the rest of us this would make sense. The system is broken. Everyone with a brain in their head knows it and props to Dunkey for putting himself on the line to speak out against the money grubbing tyranny that Riot is becoming. Banning Dunkey here is like throwing someone in jail for shooting the person who was trying to stab them and letting the initial aggressor walk free.

As for the players who are just bad at the game, this is Riots fault for having a broken matchmaking system. I'm twice as good as some of the clowns you see in Dunkey's vids and I'm silver because my internet cut out during my placements. Now I'm perma-stuck in elo hell. It's no one's fault for sucking at a game, but it can be expected that you would be able to play with and against people of a similar skill level as yourself.

You can't buy favors from Riot to avoid punishment. That's not how it works and not how it should work. The game is free-to-play.

Yeah for sure. He wasn't exactly a pure, untoxic person. But I really do think riot needs to look at people who troll in game more than people who are toxic in chat.

Id rather have a team of 4 people telling me to fuck my self and that I should die than 4 people intentionally feeding in my ranked games making me want to fuck myself and die of my own free will.

its not about them ignoreing the rules its the fact that dunkey has literally promoted their game 4 years and they wont do that one luittle thibng so he can finish his video if they wanted they couild ban him after he did his video

I'm sorry, WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!? You don't play victim after saying THAT to anyone! I understand the anger but all we can do is report people, and being toxic only exacerbates the situation, so there's no point except giving the troll the power to ban you for making poor decisions. And about the trashtalking in video games; no, there's never a good time to talk shit to people in such an offensive way ever, unless you mean as a joke, but "fucking worthless braindead scumfuck" is no joke, just straight toxic. If that's the kind of player he was i'm glad the community doesn't have to go through that anymore. In regards to the troll, it's awful people get away with that, but attacking them like that is so wrong it doesn't begin to cover for it. Get pissed, yell, scream, shout, FUCKING BREAK SOMETHING, but don't do something you know you'll get shit for and try to turn it around, toxicity is bad and so is trolling, trolling toxic people and being toxic to trolls is like a dog chasing it's tail; not gonna get anywhere, and you'll end up biting your own ass.

And here's the thing: I LOVE playful banter, which some people call "shit-talking." It honestly makes the game more fun for me, because I like to brag a little, and it's OOHH so satisfying to shut down the guy who spams the mastery emote every kill he gets, then play your own mastery emote.

But you have to do it in a way that's respectful of the fact that not everybody is ok with that. So you want to spam champion mastery emote when you get a kill? OK. Do it when you die, too. It's a funny bit of irony that lightens the tone for everybody. If you want to say say "outplayed" in all chat, try this instead: "Outplayed?" It does two things:

1. It feels just as good to say, but feels less like gloating to the other team.
2. It invites a response from the other team that's NOT "fuck you" or something. It gives you the chance to observe how they respond. If they respond well, you can keep up the banter. If they don't say anything or are obviously annoyed that you said that, you can stop saying it in all chat.

The point is, it's possible to have banter that's still friendly. There's no excuse for toxicity.
