Hello community League of Legends (I apologize in advance for my bad English). I came to ask for help from you because Now strange events are taking place on the YouTube platform. I am a League of Legends player, streamer and a video creator with the best moments on League of Legends. My channel "League of Fails". I've been creating videos and streames for over three years and on my channel more than 59 thousand subscribers. But a few days ago the following situation occurred... https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/369103115649286148/569893016484184065/forum.jpg The monetization was completely turned off on the channel and the video took off from similar and recommended views as a result, the views plummeted. After contacting the support of YouTube, I found out that they consider my content monotonous, repetitive and it does not belong to me therefore I violate the rights of the copyright holder. But this is not true... There are no copyright claims on my channel, and on all my videos there is a watermark (in the upper right corner). https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/369103115649286148/569904803623206912/unknown.png Every day, players send me video moments from their games + I myself watch the gameplay of the players and choose the best to create my content. And according to the License Agreement, any video, gameplay, art, etc. League of Legends, owned by Riot Games. Yes, I understand that many will say "It serves you right," but I did not violation anything. I did not insert built-in advertising into my videos (for selling riot points, buying ratings, selling accounts, boosting, hack etc.) I always followed the reputation of my channel and a small monetization in these three years allowed me to buy a new computer so that the video was not rendering 10 hours+, buy a license for music, buy plug-ins and software for montage. Therefore, I ask for help from Riot, I don't know where else appeal... I don `t know how I should prove that my videos are useful, that my subscribers and viewers find them informative, etc. And such a problem is not only with me, I see how other channels in the League of Legends lose monetization, but for some reason they are silent. Therefore, I ask RIOT games help. You have the main YouTube channel League of Legends and you have a personal manager from YouTube, please ask him why this is happening. I love League of Legends and I want to be part of this community, so I’ve been developing my channel for so many years, and nowI do not know what to do. my channel is completely pessimized. After all, such creators like me, popularize the game and support the interest of other players in it. Now a lot of players from DotA get on my videos, watch them and write that this game is interesting.

It's a little difficult for me to accurately and completely describe the current situation in English, so I will attach a video of a large YouTube Channel in which the exact same situation occurred and he describes it in detail. YouTube Demonetized my Channel and Removed my Ability to Contact Them

To be honest it might not be Riot auto claiming stuff it might be something screwy on YouTube end. I notice that you're from EUW and I know article 13 got pass (not sure if it is law currently in you're area or not) but it might be related to that. Also it seems the answer they gave is vague as hell. Doesn't tell what exactly what you violated in their terms of service . But hey if it is that i hope riot can get you taking care of. Would also recommend contact support with a link to this form when you do.

Your English was perfect. Even the singular in Riot GAME. They only really have one ;) I really hope your issue gets resolved. If you know anyone educated in Law give them a quick call for advice or seek a professional. Review the rules to build your case. Don't panic, don't get emotional, don't get depressed everything will be fine. https://www.riotgames.com/en/legal Use every channel available to you; Support tickets (https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us) , try to get the contact of their offices in Moscow, YouTube support systems for content creators, anything and everything you can.

Understanding what you were flagged for and what content you make, it sounds like someone/some people at Youtube are a little partisan against you. If this type of content is allowed to be called "reused" and is compiled against the original clip owner's will then Steam Highlights videos are even worse, but I don't see them getting shut down like this at all.

In the box explaining what you did wrong, they are essentially saying that you are stealing content. If you explained to them how you come across these clips, and that they are put into videos with consent of the clip owners, and they still refuse to talk to you or lift the demonetization of your channel then they are attacking you directly for some reason. At this point it isn't about breaking terms of service; someone doesn't like you.

Discoheat is what got me into League of Legends with his 'League of Children series' and his channel also suffered the same fate years ago.

The sad thing is to open my mail. And to see how the players send me new moments, but I am in depression because of this whole situation... https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/369103115649286148/569996714434363392/unknown.png

Dude this sucks. I know the boards like to quibble and fight, but I hope that this is something we can unite on. I watch your videos and I enjoy them. League boards, pls join me in upvoting Op's post and asking riot to help one of their content creators. This ban on the Op is both wrong and illogical, and it must not stand!

I'm really Sorry for you and all the Work you put into this but in the end i see YouTube having two major problems atm the first is professor akali and his franchising system combined with their clickbaity thumbnails and titles and the second one are montage channels that reuse all the interesting plays across their videos. It really often Feels like you've Seen a Vid before but in reality that other montage just already had 1/3 the same content. Best of luck in reclaiming monetarization though!!

God I wish there was a solid alternative to this platform at this point. I get that content needs to be policed but the amount of times we have seen this, or just general demonetization for content (Like MagikarpUsedFly's "Actual champion spotlights" for example) is really just a punch in the gut for the CC and the CA. Because Youtube is effectively a social media site, it can't be called a monopoly, but in terms of posting and viewing video content, its easily the most reliable place that you know your content will be seen.

I think what needs to happen is YT needs to break their platform into subsections that have their own rules. If I'm posting something for Kids, then I should have different rules if I am posting something for a generally adult community. This umbrella bs isn't helping anyone.

That's my opinion 2 years into a CS degree, so maybe there is something I don't understand; of course I'm no expert.

Alert to all creators, unless you want your channels to be demonetized for ''reused content''. Even of you are in the right and your video is fair use. Remove the claimed videos. YouTube is demonetizing channels on the spot, channels that have a certain amount of claims in a short period. Those videos are not worth your whole channel. If the claims have a timestamp, just remove the content claimed with the editing tools on YT. If the video has been manually claimed, just remove the whole thing. For future videos don't use footage that you know is going to get claimed. Use royalty free music when you want to use music. Just a heads up.

You're in EUW and Article 13 got passed. It's probably a preemptive demonetization due to the fact that you are uploading montages of (and bear with me on this) people's content who is not yours. It doesn't matter if it's someone else's gameplay, someone else's stream clip, etc. It is technically violating Article 13. It's annoying, and this was the fear of Article 13 passing, but yes, it is the case of it sometimes.

More than 22 hours have passed. And no response from the RIOT games team.... One could at least write that you regret or are concerned, but so far only silence. I sincerely hope that they will answer and, if possible, help me.

Duh. You can't monetize gossips or ckips that were originally made by the srramers thst were mentioned in your videos. Reused content is NOT even monetizable to begin with. Justified.

Your complaining about not making money or views from video clip you took from other streamers? Honestly you should not have made money from it to begin with lets be real

I know EXACTLY what you're going through bud, I also got demonetized for reused content, 0 community guidelines strikes/copyright strikes. I know EXACTLY how you feel. It really does suck.

Article 13 at it's finest...
