TOP vs JDG Game 2 LPL

What the heck are these casters? This was a fun game to watch with some great plays by both sides; however, hearing the casters continuously claim TOP need to make something happen or get outscaled is ridiculous and drives me crazy. Clearly, they've never played or seen a game of league of legends before in their lives. Here's why they had things completely backwards on 2 counts.

Fiora can't win vs ornn yet... Fiora with and vs ornn with and an odd component or two... fiora wins that 1v1 hands down. She was GROUPING because the 4 man group of TOP didn't group properly and was giving away picks - meaning she had to group to protect mid tower. Not because she couldn't 1v1 the ornn. She could, but saving mid inner tower is better than trading it for an inner or outer tower in top.

TOP gets outscaled... JDG: ornnn, kha, azir, ez, braum; TOP: fiora, sej, ryze, varus, taric In terms of both 4-1 and 1-3-1 TOP actually outscales JDG and the pressure is on JDG to get stuff done early. 4-1 is easier to examine, so let's just look at that real quick and call it good before I write a novel. Kha, azir, ez, braum vs sej, ryze, varus, taric. Neither of these teams have great engage because azir can deny sej's ult to engage while azir cannot shurima shuffle without getting snared by ryze or sej, plus, taric can just pop ult as azir engages since his whole team will get it due to all being knocked back to the same area. Ryze and varus offer amazing waveclear. Ryze outscales azir - as we saw in multiple games yesterday in eu lcs (one of which saw ryze 1v2 a vlad and azir - tower diving the vlad). While varus doesn't scale great - especially with on-hit build - he will do about the same damage as ezreal in extended fights; neither having amazing dps late game due to no crits. Ezreal is just said to be good due to his safety compared with other adc's.

Onto the other half - ornn vs fiora. Fiora definitely outscales ornn in 1v1, she can kill him under tower with ult, ornn has no good escapes for this. His hard cc is mostly telegraphed, allowing a pro fiora player to riposte the cc and stun ornn instead. He can tp to 5v4, but then fiora has a guaranteed splitpush for towers because ornn can't ever push her out mid/late game. Furthermore, fiora can tp herself to the fight if that is the better play. Flipping it around, what if kha ganks the fiora and makes it a 2v1? If played correctly, fiora will have ult, kill kha or force him away, and simply win the 2v1. Meanwhile, this also gives her team (who has better engage than their opponents) to 4v3 force a winning fight elsewhere on the map.

Thus we see, TOP is under no such pressure to make stuff happen early for fear of being outscaled. In fact, the reverse is almost true.
