Chests, open now, or wait?

We learned recently that we will have a chance to get a chest inside of a chest, with the new IP reward change. Do we assume that this change doesn't happen until this patch is implemented? If so we shouldn't open our chests and hold on to keys until they add a chance for us to get double loot.

"To offset the disenchant rate changes, we’re going to change the way loot chests work so you’ll have a chance to get two drops in each chest. Get ready for chests inside of your chests."

^ (Change the way chests work) does not specify current or a new chest.

The normal chest won't be affected I think (or do they?)

What you should do is disenchant every shard (skin shards included) before preseason hits.

I think even if the double reward chance is for normal chests too you should still open them now and disenchant all you don't need.

open now because preseason is gonna drop the BE value of champ shard

Chest contents are determined upon receiving the chest, not when opening. Or at least I think that's how it works?
