are you sure about that, how many people who "quit" come back. I took a break after urf was gone but that was because it was gone. League is probably one of the most addictive games, what is the data after a few weeks or a month. Does riot release this data. I feel like we can justify a permanent urf.
you would have to search various reddit and boards threads for riot responses, and they did drop the data in an ask riot recently, or at least some of the data.
the urf graph starts super healthy, experiences a sizeable drop off almost right away by the end of week 1, and then follows an aram esque playrate just inflated relative to aram.
the graph was posted to show play rates of various modes from TT to nexus blitz with those two modes being borderline DOA.
they don't have the stats for when they left urf up for a whole month but having played through it myself I got incredibly sick of league in general during that time and not just urf.
oh well I am just me though.
also riot will probably count you as a returning player roped in by a cinematic or new champion, and will consider urf to be the thing that made you quit, ergo proving their narrative to be correct no matter how iffy the details actually are.
