I've been playing league for over a year now, and have seen plenty of champion mains. Many of them being annoying... And I enjoyed finding out what champs I wanted to main, and boy do I love being able to call myself one. But after seeing those 3 videos for new players I've wondered, why do we main who we play? I've noticed that the champions I main are champions that aren't seen to often or rarely ever, also they are difficult in their learning curve or at least take lots of time to master completely. So, I ask this, why do you main the champion (s) you have? Are they enjoyable to play? Popular? Hard? Or gets easy kills (which I dislike but eh.)? There's a reason we call our self's the main of champion and why we feel proud of doing it, the moments we had, and the best things that happened with them. Especially that first experience when we locked them in for the first time... The excitement we had, the fear we fealt. So let's hear it.

I only started playing League a year ago, and that was for one reason; Jhin. My brother informed me that he is voiced by my favorite voice actor, so after about a week of consideration I made my account. After a week of farming I had 3 champion shards, which I re-rolled and got Volibear, my first champion. After another week of farming, I bought Jhin. One year later I'm mastery 7 with over 550k mastery on him. I've never considered dropping him as my main. No matter how bad he was, I still played him. No matter how bad he is, I still play him.

I like assassins with bitchy personalities and keen aesthetics.

I only play champs with a dash pretty much. Any champ w/o a repositioning ability feels clunky to me. This is probably bc my first main was kassadin so I just got used to jumping around.

soraka: fun/interactive.. i press a lot of buttons all the time. forces me to be constantly aware of the map and the team. she's deceptive and somewhat hard to counter or figure out how to play against. normally people just see her as a walking heal bot. make sure to get some form of grievous wounds and if they can't kill through the heals, kill her first. but then you also have the conundrum of her getting tanky(i usually get warmogs around minute 25-30 if the game lasts that long)... so what's going to happen when you think you caught her out but she just ended up funneling you into her entire team? game-over. One of the few support champions that commonly forces the other team to play around her. I love it, and hope it never changes.

Oh I also get the more compliments playing her than any other champion.. I can go 30/0 and get a penta on ekko or lb(2 of my other mains i don't play much anymore) and i might not even get an honor. It's whatever, but understandable. I don't mind it.

I play a lot of nid even though I kinda suck w her sometimes. She's just too fun to play and she's a cat and a babe at the same time. What's not to love

I play champions that I enjoy, and like what their kit does

I remember back when I started playing league a year and a half ago. I was looking for champs to main. I'm a huge fan of dark/Evil characters, so shadow isles was the place to go for me (I was reading a lot of lore before I started playing league). First I decided to try out Kalista , had no idea what the fuck I was doing. I was jumping around like an idiot, throwing spears left and right. Then I came across Hecarim , lets just say that there was a lot of missed ults. And then I came across the one that caught my interest the most, Yorick. I was fascinated by his ability to summon ghouls, I found that to be pretty darn awesome. I started spamming that bad boy non stop in normals. I was getting better and better each time. He got everything that I want in a champ. I started watching a lot of guides on him on YouTube and now I know every small and big on him. The feeling I had when I crafted that sweet sweet M7 man, I almost shed a tear.. Sorry the post a bit too long [zombie-nunu-bummed]
