How do I improve on a champ?

As stupid as this sounds, how do I improve playing a champ? The likely answer is “just keep playing them” but I have 28 games on Kayn and my play has just been getting worse and worse. I always seem to do really good with a champ for the first couple of games and then as I play them more I just feed more and do worse I don’t get it. What do you guys do to get better? Help me please Kayn is so much fun and I don’t wanna drop him because I’m total trash

"Keep playing them" is part of the answer. It's not the whole answer.

"Learn what items synergize with the kit." "Learn what items counter the kit and how to deal with them." "Learn what champions counter yours and what items to build to slow them down or counter them."

That's the other 3 parts of the answer.

Learn what items synergize with their kit but more important learn WHY they do.

Look at their stats, their scalings, everything. Watch videos, study, take notes, practice combos, ect
