Why exactly cant we see other players' Honor level on their profile?

I dont understand the point in not letting us see other players' honor level.

Edit; For those saying it prevents shaming, i understand that point, and it makes alot of sense. However Riot doesnt hide your rank or your top 3 most played champs, which are the 2 biggest ways to shame someone (I.E "Stfu you bronze 5 scrub" or "This guy has 1 million mastery on yas, of course he's ganna defend yas, dirty yas main.") So if they are hiding it to prevent shaming, that logic seems a little inconsistent to me.

They don't want other players to see someone with 0 honor or 1 honor, because in there eyes its "shaming" them, imo what the point of having he honor system if you can't see your friends honors as well. Whatever tho rito.

TonyTonyMordecai8/15/2017, 7:54:25 PM25 votes

They should at least let us see it if we're friends with the person

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a glitch they couldn't fixed and decided to make this a 'feature' instead

Isn't it good that it shames them...?

More incentive for them NOT to be a dick wad?

It also is a direct correlation to report success. You could report someone, get a notice that someone was penalized, check the honor levels of players you reported and know who go the punishment. I didn't even notice it until a friend of mine told me you could tell who has been reported by their lack of honor showing. Then I told him "no i am level 2" at the time. I dunno if they changed it after launch or if it never showed to others in the first place. Why would you want to see?

So much mention of "honor-shaming" in this thread

Good god, who gives a fuck about "ANYTHING-shaming" lmfao

Futalicious8/16/2017, 4:53:17 AM4 votes

If people didn't want to get shamed for being a toxic asshole maybe they shouldn't be toxic assholes lmao. I'm fine with people seeing honour at any level I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't be

Edit to fix typos

Because it is the politically correct thing to do lol.

If I got a single RP for every time somebody used "U R Silver in 5v5, U suk" as a shaming tactic while playing 3v3 in the past 4 days, I'd buy half the skins in the game.

We can't see people's previous season rank durning loading, but we can see it in their profile in-game, on the official LoL website and on all 3rd party websites.

"Political correctness", my ass.

You are either correct or you are not.

I'd like to see if someone was a low honor level to know how they act in game. Sometimes I've accepted a friend request just to queue with them and realize they're toxic af. If I could see their honor level then I wouldn't play with them if they were level 1 or dishonorable

2Behold8/15/2017, 10:53:58 PM2 votes

i feel like it just hasnt been implemented yet

Poppystar8/16/2017, 12:13:51 AM2 votes

whats wrong with shaming players with bad behavior? wont that encourage them to be better? ive honestly seen a lot less toxic players since the honor system came out tho so maybe its working

Smitty Manjensen8/15/2017, 10:07:35 PM2 votes

Better question is why do you need to see their honor level?

50Shades0fTrynda8/16/2017, 10:51:55 PM1 votes

they should make ranked stats hidden too if they want to make a sterile ,on a look of an eye perfect comunity

not even to mention chat.Zero conflict, zero envy, only play and having a good time fighting and killing one another

Have a good day

WzqdQsZwQA8/15/2017, 6:57:46 PM1 votes

so you won't see how small your honor is compared to others i think

Karfuss8/16/2017, 5:41:47 AM1 votes

I wouldn't even mind if it was partly shaming. Perhaps not this season because it is a new feature, but next honor season, I'd like to know if the people who have just added me are friendly and decent people to game with, or whether they've been recently toxic and been demoted to level 0.

If you can see someone's rank and can 'rank shame,' why is it any different? Somewhat of a double-standard here.

I actually have had names turned off for the last 6 or 7 months it's a really good way to play. Seeing xXx420MARIJUANA420xXx playing Yasuo doesn't surprise me but now I never have to see it while he's dashing around and dying

Funny how they show cs, KDA etc ingame, where most flaming takes place and use argument such as "to prevent shaming" on a fucking honor which you can't see unless you check it op.gg (well, if riot ever made honor level public, you could, now you obviously can't, stfu) or straight out check profile, and often times people who would do that and start talking shit are same people who already probably have honor 0/1 so what's the fucking point of this...

Beacon 0F Light8/16/2017, 4:22:25 PM1 votes

Yeah I really don't understand anybody who says they wouldn't want this. The ENTIRE POINT of having an honor system is to have public and trackable indicator of someone's general attitude and behavior. What's the point of the system at all if you can only ever see your own?

I Might Lose8/16/2017, 7:56:08 PM1 votes

If they aren't gonna let you see it they need to remove it when viewing profiles, it just is out of place to leave it blank

Telephone Booth8/16/2017, 9:15:45 PM1 votes

Yeah it's pretty stupid that you can't see it, imo. Because of shaming people? The fuck kind of reason is that? You can look at match history, rank, champ masteries... but oh no, honor level shaming would be terrible. Come on. At least give people a choice as to whether or not they want their honor level displayed.

Noblewind8/16/2017, 10:04:34 PM1 votes

Totally agree it's weird and inconsistent that you can't see other players' honour. At the same time what do you really gain by being able to?

Unfavourable8/16/2017, 10:07:57 PM1 votes

this x1000000

If they are going to hide the honor level then hide the rank too. You know how many people afk just to come back with "unranked scrub kys"

50ShadesOfÀDC8/16/2017, 10:49:50 PM1 votes

They said you could see friends honor level and said it was bug that u cant see.Dunno why its not been fixed yet.
