I've had moderate success with him as a Jungler and it's my theory that he's considered God Tier ATM because the power of low-level ganks is higher than previous meta's due to Junglers leveling so slow to where their mid-to-late game isn't really relevant.
Also feel like mid-to-late game, AP Shaco Support is easier to play because even if you can't burst someone down, it's easier to pick people off and the AOE fear / damage is better for fighting around objectives.
God no, frustrating and good at tilting people to the point of rage quitting, yeah.
He has a play style of abusing the opponent jungler and laners but that is really it. He can’t tank, he is squishy as shit, he lacks tools to do anything besides assassinate and be annoying.
He is a champion that is good at hedging out advantages for himself and his team, but lacks the tools to carry if his allies aren’t able to maintain the lead he sliced out.
AP shaco support was obscene for a while he seems ok now
Shaco good in low ELO bad in higher ELO where people only play early-game bruiser Jungles and your team doesn't care about helping you if they have lane priority and you're being invaded.
If Shaco falls behind, even just because he's ganking and getting a lot of assists, he's fucked.
