Where all ADC Champions stand in pro play !!
their are 4 categories that pros look at when choosing an ADC in pro play and those categories are basically where the meta is at any point in time. within those categories you have the champions that will always get picked and the ones that wont due to obvious reasons.
power champions - Ashe, Caitlyn, Jhin, Kalista, Kogmaw, Sivir, Tristana, Twitch, Varus, and Xayah fall short champions - Draven, Lucian, Jinx, Miss Fortune, Quinn, Vayne Unplaced - Ezreal, Kennen, Mord, and Ziggs
In the past few years the categories haven't had any change as to whose in them and the favorable are always the same ones.
Auto-attack crit champions - When it comes to bursting down a tank like in the current meta in league of legends pros like attack damage champions who can melt enemies 1 and a time.
power champs - Tristana, Twitch, Caitlyn, Kalista, Xayah fall short Draven, Jinx, Lucian and Vayne
the 2nd group is Lethality champions that excel at killing targets by basically removing their armor stats. With the recent buffs to this category a lot of people expected more action out of them but since the meta is tanky lethality itself is outmatched. Unlike crit builds which hit tanks with big numbers lethality dosnt hit big its more useful against already squishy targets. but anyway the pools are as follows.
power champs - Jhin and Varus - (since a crit build is pretty much always viable their are only a couple power champs for lethality) fall short - Miss Fortune and Quinn
the 3rd group is when neither crit or lethality are very strong in a meta this category is called the utility champions. Instead of relying on their raw damage to win the fights these adc's are picked to better cause some sort of disruption to alter the course of a fight.
power champs - Ashe, Varus, Sivir this category doesn't really have a champ that falls short because their are so few ADC champions that are used for their utility.
The last category is one we haven't seen in awhile because assassins highly counter them. This Category is protect the Carry comp. These comps are often tanky protecting the ADC is everyone else's job in these comps and for good reason their high damage champions that are either easy to kill or have no escape and usually thrive in the late game.
power champs- Tristana, Kogmaw fall short- Miss Fortune
Overall you can clearly see that pro's lean towards champions that surpass others in each category .most of these for obvious and simple reasons the question is whether change will come to the champions that fall short or will league continue to buff and nerf the power champs.
PS: Conditional ADC's like Mord, Ziggs, Kennen, I purposely left out along with Ezreal because Ezreal is questionable as to where he fits since his build is never really in any meta for he uses items that other ADC champs don't.
PS: Lucian was placed in falls short cause most of the time he's not picked and was recently only usable a short amount of time
