I recently had a comment removed by a mod for being offensive. What did I say you might ask?

"How is Jewplank offensive?" Someone commented on another post that they recieved a forced name change because of it. I am jewish and this name doesn't offend me in the slightest.

Hello Summoner! Your comment was deleted because it is promoting hate speech by saying such a name is OK. Promoting or approving on offensive usernames is not allowed on Boards. We remove stuff that can be seen as hate speech as it's not tolerated at all on the Boards. We also do not take into consideration the poster's race, religion, or whatever as we have no way of knowing this information. Even if we did, others could still see it as offensive.

pretty easy rule of thumb is Jew as a noun is fine but Jew as a verb, adjective, or adverb is not.

I don't know. It's like asking your allied team if they're french when they initiate a surrender vote. It's funny but...is it appropriate? I don't know.

It's basically a slap in the face for french people because of how their ancesters surrendered in WW II and made the battle much harder for the allies. The jew plank thing is like a slap in the face for jewish people because people thought they only cared about money in old history.
