Has yugioh always been like this?

I downloaded Duel Links like two days ago to revisit the games. Alright I haven't played yugioh since gameboy advance, but have games always ended this quickly?

It's like if you don't draw a monster the game just ends. Is it just powercreep and the huge numbers on newer cards? Doesn't seem like there's a lot of card draw either but maybe i'm just bad.

pendulum decks are just pure toxic

Well you have like 4000 LP to start in Duel Links instead of 8000, so games are shorter overall

You have to factor in all the differences. Phone game, 4000 lp as opposed to 8000, 15 card minimum decks allowing for better draw chances.

My problem before uninstalling was the lack of good trap cards, like there wasn't anything I really had but 1 trap to counter act something like that out of all the packs I opened.

But yeah there was a bit of a power creep.

Duel Links isn't standard yugioh. Still last time I checked the best strategy to win is to special summon big monsters quickly and 8000-0 your opponent.

Duel Links isn't really Yugioh tbh because the card pool is really limited (especially the traps) and you only need like 15 cards minimum (maybe 20 can't remember) which makes some decks really consistent and op.
