Question on Tyler1

Why do people find his streams entertaining? To me he's a self proclaimed "alpha male" (which should tell you something) who does nothing but whine, yell, and bitch non-stop on stream. When he plays he's interesting to see what he does, but I can only enjoy him muted most of the time. He has the largest League of Legends stream following on twitch alongside Imaqtpie. It's clear he doesn't really like playing League of Legends anymore, he says so often, so it's a bit uncomfortable to see that a large portion are just there to mock him for it, somehow that gives them a purpose I guess. Though you'd have to be a pretty low class person to find meaning in heckling a stressed out, obviously addicted person.

Back to the original question: What's entertaining about Tyler1 and other streamers in that vein? Is it the standard "too big to fail" where popularity begets more popularity, or am I missing something?

I'm stating my feelings on it so you know where I'm coming from and where my thoughts are on the matter.

I imagine most of it is lingering fanboys from his days where he encouraged toxic behavior as retaliation for something as minimal as a single CS being taken from him.

If he doesn't like playing LoL anymore, then why bother with the whole ordeal trying to get Riot to lift the ID ban in the first place? I honestly don't believe for a second that he dislikes LoL as much as you think he does or he claims to. Also, there's no such thing as "too big to fail" when it comes to streaming. There are other streamers that used to have 30k+ viewers a night but now struggle to maintain 1k, despite not changing the stream much. All it takes is one misstep to become a pariah as a content creator.

Honestly if I had to guess on the matter, I'd say his viewer count can be split into three categories: 1) fanboys, 2) viewbots, and 3) people who are waiting for him to snap and revert to his old habits, or who hope to encourage it with chat to get him banned again.

He screams into the mic and overreacts in general when bullsh*t happens in his game
