Why do support ask the bot laner what support you want and NOT know how to play the champion.

I feel like this is something in competitive rank you should know what to play against the enemy team. Looking at their team composition and ours. Play what your good in the role and dont wing it because you cause a loss in someone's competitive ranked match in their promo's. This is a problem for me as a botlaner i deal with through out my League of Legend career. Play the champion you know most in the lane your given and you can save someone in promos.
and thats my default. In the most recent games i played as support, i won and got really fed late so we basically had 2 mids. I didnt steal kills unless they were going to get away or the fire killed them afterwards. After laning phase, im more liberal.
