You know what might not feel as bad?

Maybe if every time we bought a skin or some kind of content, we got the Prestige Points as a "thanks" for our purchase instead of in bundles. Like how you get bonus RP for buying in larger numbers.

If I got 10 points each time I bought a skin that I was going to buy anyway, I would have about 100 by the end of the year because chances are that I would find about 10 skins that I wanted in a year. ( And if I didn't, but wanted a prestige one behind the wall, I might not feel so bad getting one or two that I only 'sort of' wanted.) If there are going to be multiple prestige skins per year, this would still keep them "rare" since not a lot of people are going to buy 20-30 skins a year.

The loot boxes are already a mixed bag when it comes to popularity. While I'd rather be able to grind for these points like tokens in the past, I would feel a lot better if I was actually buying what I wanted already to get to the PP items.

TL;DR: If Prestige Points were tied SOLEY to purchases and not to bundles and loot boxes, I feel the system would be a little less unpleasant. Riot gets their 100 dollars, and we get the content we wanted.

ETA: I'm not for the PP system. I'm just trying to make it more palatable if they're not gonna drop it.
