I've been muting cross-chat for 3 months now.

And I have to say, I have never enjoyed the game more.

I realized that because of my ego, the people who formed up the enemy team were never going to have anything worthwhile to say to me. I don't want build advice and I don't expect the average gold player to provide tips on why they were able to outplay me. Leaving myself open to communication could only have negative impact on my game play whenever the red text entered the chat box. Because they were the enemy, I read everything they said as sarcastic anyway. So I disabled it.

Now I only have to worry about communicating with four teammates ( or less if I bring my own.) I'm generally more patient, I get more honours, and my tilt is at an all time low. At first I was concerned that the tilt was gone because I just didn't care about the game as much anymore but that's not true. I wanna win now harder than ever. And I have more of the focus to do that because I'm more directly capable of fixating on just myself and what I can do to improve, make myself the best and most useful self when standing next to these four people at a time.

Anybody having tilt, please give it a try. I thought it somehow would make me less as a player or speak to a lack of "thick skin" but, it really works for me. Good luck guys.

By muting, do you mean actually muting, or did you simply disable all chat?
