Gotta love Riot. Drops the standard 975rp skins now you can't even get a single 1350 skin with $10.

Also, there logic for the increase on EU is straight up a lie.

Riots argumentation for 15% increase for EU is a blatant lie and an attempt to scam people who do not understand how VAT works:

1. There were no "fluctuations" or "inflation" for the USD in favor if the EU over the past years: https://www.xe.com/currencycharts/?from=EUR&to=USD&view=5Y

On the contrary; the EUR is weaker now compared to the time when they increased the RP-Price with the same argument.

2. The most infuriating is the chain of lies they use, hoping that the uneducated consumer falls for it and takes their word for granted:

Historically, we’ve paid sales tax (VAT or GST) in a number of countries on the money we receive from RP purchases.

As does every company in any country because this is how the system works (Value added tax is to be included in the price to the end consumer)

In the past, we handled these in different ways, either absorbing the cost or including it in the original pricing.

Blatant lie: The price model any company uses accounts for VAT! You do not think "I want to charge 10 EUR for this service/good, so I only ask for 10 EUR and pay 15-21% VAT to the tax office out of my own pocket". Instead you know that you will have to pay VAT and make it 12 EUR (or higher depending on VAT-rates) from the start. Now you just increased the 8 EUR of your original pricing model to 10 EUR and blamed VAT which DID not increase in any EU country!

Recently, more countries have added VAT/GST or similar taxes on digital goods (Australia, New Zealand, several in LATAM, USA digital sales tax).

I fail to see EU countries here to justify an increase of 15%.

There’s also been a lot of currency fluctuation and inflation that has led to sizeable differences in the value of RP between currencies.

Already disproved before; No USD to EUR inflation which would justify an increase.

The following price increases will help create a sustainable and consistent policy to ensure fairness between and within regions.

No, as seen before it does just the opposite. EU pays more for no inflation, for no changes of VAT or other taxes you want to blame.

Thats great but the price increase is something that i dont like.

What's the point of refunding when if people won't even buy skins that much anymore ? 15% Taxes means an extra skin each 6 or 7 Purchases , so I wouldn't even need that refund yearly if I'm gonna buy 7 skins , I would have just kept both skins ( the wanted one and the one I'm gonna refund )

in other words , these are Negative changes and there is nothing to be excited about.

They have done it with refunds, but yet they STILL CAN'T give us free transfers after alot of us have waited 200+ days ffs

Although i have it easy since i'm here in NA and thus only have a hike in sales tax and not base RP costs, so i'm not going to even pretend i speak for everyone here, i will say i'm happy with the trade-off and not terribly miffed about the cost up. Obviously there's going to be a bit of an uproar, especially in the UK, but although papa Rito Jayms(tm) makes some Q U E S T I O N A B L E choices all too often, like the $100 prestige skins and how the Kayle rework looks, this is, for the most part, a fair tradeoff IMO

hey just wanna know... i bought the battleboss brand skin like 1.5 year ago will i be able to refund it and get my rp back ?
