Stormrazor's Interaction with Camille's second Q [Actually empowers it]

Vlada Cut··8 votes·5,806 views

Before you ask why on earth I built an item like item 3095 on someone who can't crit like Camille , let me explain. I was doing an experiment build with Fleetwork item 3095, but that's another story. My original intention was to see how her regular AA's would feel like before using Q's, so, I asked myself, hey what would happen if recasted my second Q with item 3095's passive at the same time? Well, as dumb as this experiment might've looked like, the results were...unexpected. Stormrazor proc ended up empowering her second Q while it shouldn't have(because if you don't know already, her true damage Q can't crit, and the item's passive is about critting). I combined it with triforce with only a half build she kept dealing 956 true damage with both sheen and stormrazor proc! Before asking me the next question - Yes, I compared Stormrazor procced second Q's with non-stormrazor procced second Q's, the damage was different, a lot different.

If this ends up actually being here unintentionally, then please hotfix it. Thanks in advance.

Edit: I've been getting different results mainly because I forgot to test it without fleetwork and celerity. :I

Why should the interaction be removed though, let alone in a hotfix? It's not a problem just because it's unintended. And it doesn't seem abusable, since you have to stop auto'ing between your two Qs to pull it off, meaning you probably sacrifice at least as much damage for it as you would deal normally.

That's because nobody knows about it, trust me, once people find out and you see a camile every game dealing 2000 true damage with her Q (at full build), I'm sure you'll change your mind lol. and you'd only miss out on 1 or 2 auto attacks. The stormrazor proc converted into true damage plus all her other items.... that is insane damage and is totally worth missing out on an auto or two.

She is not the only champ that empowered attack is affected by it. There is one I will not mention that can hit for about 2500

Yes of course she's not the only one, but first of all. All of the other champs that can use it on empowered autos can already crit with those autos. Camille is (under normal circumstances) unable to crit with her Q. And on top of that, 100% of the damage dealt by her Q and all auto attack buffs on that Q, are converted into TRUE DAMAGE. that is NOT okay and there's no way it's intentional.

It IS the problem. The bio of her Precision Protocol(Q) claims that it CANNOT critically strike. Stormrazor's passive allows your next attack to crit for 160% damage. It's allowing her true damage Q do something it shouldn't do.

It also works with MF's Q bounce. Even though Riot said it's not supposed to...

Again, OP:

It's not a problem just because it's unintended.

The other guy gave actual reasons though. Except I had doubts about the 2,000 damage part, so I thought I'd jump into practice tool to see if it's really as ridiculous as he says. But I didn't seem to crit. The second Q dealt the same amount of damage regardless of if I stopped auto'ing between Qs or not. And I see you edited the original post to mention you had Fleet and Celerity, but that didn't make anywhere near the difference a crit would. So, did you really just mistake like 20 extra damage (if not less) for a crit? And even if that damage had come from a crit, you actually thought that tiny difference was hotfix-worthy?

No, i was not talking about the rune dmg, i was talking about actual damage on stormrazor. I though it was procced because stormrazor'd q dealf 956 the dmg while non-procced dealt 300 less damage. However after further testing it appears I was wrong, but I still don't have the answer as to why I had 300 dmg difference on the first place. All i can assure it wasm't fleetwork's ajd celerity's doing, no wqy those two thingw can givr you a 300 damage boost.

Well, when I tried to start up practice tool, at first I got an error message about it failing to start, and that was immediately followed by a message that I closed too fast to read, but said something about patching. So maybe the interaction was there, but they already did some kind of hotfix, even though patch notes don't mention Camille anywhere.

NOt sure if it's that strong of an interaction though, as it means you discard the AA-reset, so you end up tradeing 160% AD physical damage for 60% AD truedamage. you'd need targets with near 200 armor for that to be worth it.. Stormrazor probably still is a decent choice for extra burst on her though.

Still, they should remove that interaction or change either stormrazor or her Q in the tooltip, since her Q critting theoretically should not be possible.

Edit: just gave it a try, and for me it did not work ion her second Q, it did the same damage with and without the proc.

Why can't she crit? What? Even stuff like Lulu can crit, but that doesn't make it good.
