Kassadin and the 1001 Counters

I will explain this because i am too tired of seeing my favorite champion defeated by everyone. Here below the list of champions which counter Kassadin in mid lane:

  • Cassiopeia

  • Zed

  • Ahri

  • Yasuo

  • Talon

  • Akali

  • Corki

  • Malhazar

  • Morgana

  • Vladimir

  • and all the tanks

Here below the champions that Kassadin counters:

  • Katarina

This is the last day that i am playing Kassadin before Riot Games fixes this champions instead i will just play the popular high win rate mid champion which everyone knows, not because I want but because i am obligated to. He is sometimes called the Nasus of the mid lane, that is a lie because the damage and takiness that Nasus has in Late Game is totally different compared to Kassadin. Kassadin needs to be balanced with a rework which adds difficulty to the champ but also outplay potential and make him stronger in mid game.

If anyone disagrees with the champions that counter Kassadin, I can explain the why and the how. Just put them below. I have been playing Kassadin as an OTP since 2 years and a half ago.

I'd say apart from yasuo and maybe corki you should be able to beat them though. Cassio: you can block a great bunch of her damage with your Q and you can jump over her W without being affected by it. Talon: play safe early and if you get any armor at all you should outscale him easily Zed: just get a zhonya and you can beat him Ahri: make sure you dodge her E's and her Q every now and then. She won't be able to all-in you if she misses her e cause you block most of her damage with your q and passive, additionally you have about the same number of jumps as her Akali: akali should be pretty easy to beat tbh, just block her Q and auto damage with your Q. She can't even kill you in one combo because of your passive. Corki: Adc's midlane are pretty tough for kass, but corki's great deal of magic damage should make him a bit easier than the rest, as long as you don't get too greedy Malz: shouldn't be too hard, just get a banshee or a QSS if you really struggle against him Morgana: as long as you dodge her Q you should be fine. Vlad: you can just block all of his Q damage if you make sure to use your Q on him or a minion whenever he tries to Q you. late game you outscale his healing with your damage easily.

TLDR: just git gud and these matchups are easier than they might seem at first

kass doesn't even counter kat anywhere as much as he used to after the minion aggro update. as much as i feel sad for you friend

god it feels good finally being able to trade Q's with him early

I've had great laning phase against akali/cass/kat It's just he's weak early but he can outduel these two just depends how you play.

But tbh the only person who makes him look good (whos gotten a pentakill recently) is Shiphtur.

Talon/zed you should take boneplating + armor or second wind everytime I get matched with these I wait til lvl 8 that's when kassadin starts outscaling them (That's if your team hasn't given them 2-3 kills zz) I do think he needs a little buff for mid game so he can be a great pick.

most of those champs are a problem since you outscale them and can just avoid fighting them, only real problem is getting shoved in with kass

i don't really think kat is something he counters anymore, he doesn't really die to her but he can't faceroll his all-ins the same way he could before the kat changes

Don't forget Brand. I've run into a few Kassadins recently on him and it was not pretty. EDIT: (it didn't end well for the Kassadins, if that wasn't clear)

I agree with this

Kassadin however curently is far from weak tho

His win-rate is <48%. Learn a new character until he gets strong. That is the cycle of the meta.

You only mention few champions Ahri isn't bad or isn't good against him Akali is good vs everything Cass , Malzahar and Vlad are winning against most of mid laners too , not only Kass meanwhile kass is almost good against all mages ? except the ones above

He isn't bad at all
