Does anyone else think pyke is gonna be really bad?

He will be the squishiest support, unable to buy bonus HP in lane is gonna mean he has to do stupid high damage in order to even lane. He will lose out on all the early defensive items which allow supports to do well in lane. Plus if he pulls a kench or alistar or braum on him, he is just gonna die.

Plus his stun looks like the least reliable ability in the game. It's tied to a dash which can be dodged and then it can be out maneuvered if he is slower then the enemy.

My prediction is that if he is good enough to be a support with his current kit he will be flat out op in lane, either top or mid. There is no way he will have enough damage to burst a adc through an enchanter support's kit and still not have enough damage to lane. He may have windows in the early levels but past level 4-5 he will struggle super hard. If his lane gets six first he may have another option for going in, but it will be super narrow.

All in all I think he will be super high risk with mild to low reward. (cannot functionally use support items well, unless the hp to ad conversion is stupidly high, in which case he would be better in lane and buy all defense items w/ hp and resists and be really hard to kill.and deal tons of damage)

I mean, he isn't going to be anywhere near as good as Ezreal. But then again nobody can match Ezreal's greatness. So that really isn't a fair comparison. I think he'll be subpar upon release, see a couple buffs to his numbers and around patch 8.12 be in a state of pick/ban because CertainlyT drank too much koolaide before he clocked into work at the gameplay and balance department.

I think a lot of people are making snap judgements but it's a cool kit and i'm excited to see how it actually plays out...i might try him top

Feel like that ULT is gonna make winning games with him on the winning team just be complete and utter facerolls with that bonus gold mechanic

Actually, I could easily see him being worse off in mid and top lane because in mid lane he'd get poked down too easily and without bushes it'd be a lot harder to use his passive for sustain. And in top lane, there are champions that don't burst easily and are good at sustained fighting.

I don't think he's going to be bad. I think people are expecting too much out of his supportive playstyle and will do anything to not play support so they're gonna shit the bed in top/jungle and wonder why he's subpar in those roles.

I mean, still expect League Youtubers to make their videos for the sick upvotes and youtube money, but he's going to be a decent support that under performs in other lanes.
