I don't hate season nine, I think I know why.

I started on my first account in late season seven, quit for a few months, then came back in mid season 8. My first account was "KingXJinxx". Once I got a feel for the game I made a new account (my current account) and began seriously playing. I loved the fast pace action and simple rune system season 8 had, so in all honesty I enjoy these new champions quite a lot. I love the akali rework, and I love quicker lane phases. This is just my theory, anyway, but I think it has to do with when I started. A lot of people here are older players, like from season three when games were on average 45 minutes long, so it might have to do with nostalgia. Sure, there are champions I absolutely hate (Darius for example), I still overall love the game.

I been here since season 2 and the game is really good right now lol. I find people's enjoyment, mine included, decreases if they don't indulge in any of the new champions, or at least modern champions.

so for instance shaco mains are generally buckets of piss and vinegar when talking about rito, cause they're experiencing the game exclusively through the lense of shaco. where as a jinx main won't have many complaints outside of assassins probably. and yasuo mains are generally happy chappies till you get them in a game against some thick tanks or someone more skilled than them. ekko players are generally happy we just bitch about minor alterations to anything that wouldn't just leave them as a missed opportunity. zoe players only have to bitch about other people trying to balance their champion with terribly thought out ideas, most of the boards does the "zoe is pretty fair" spiel for them. rammus main might be pissed off about not getting a vgu but they'll just "ok" while camping yasuo #56 for the day.
