Champions for crappy connection

I moved in a rent, and I am not allowed to use a wired connection. Sucks. So I'm using my phone's hotspot. The ping is actually decent (80-90ms), but every few minutes there's a lag spike (400ms, lasts for a few seconds). While the game is playable at 80ms, being in a fight and having that lag spike is very annoying.

Which champions do you recommend me? I'm thinking of some champs that can sustain and not die even if I am unable to move or use skills for a few seconds (hmm, Trynda comes to mind?).

I become a Rammus main 4 my satelital OP internet. Sup and Jg requires no last hit mechanic and are the most optimal roles for a bad connection I think.

I used to play on phone hotspot, and it was even worse because it was 3g and I pulled like 130-140 ping. Tbh the connection should be steady, you should look at the wireless card you're using on your computer or the tether software. Higher pings don't limit your champion pool too much but you can't play anyone with severe lag spikes.

The best option would be tanks. Tanks can afford to make mistakes because they can still fill the role of being a meatshield even if they miss their combo. There are also some tanks that you can't miss a combo on like Maokai or Rammus.
