Iron 4 vs Gold 1
Stop. Bronze players can only play against Bronze and Silver, Silver plays against Gold and Bronze and Silver, Gold doesn't play against Bronze in SoloQ.
So then why do you put Iron 4 players in high-Gold matches? Rito ._.

Your first game puts you in Iron and you climb from there. We are still tuning how it all works.
because the addition of iron has severely screwed up the mmr system (it seems like) by placing players with mmr thats high silver/low gold into iron.
Try being the iron 4 player, if you make a new account no matter what your mmr is you get placed iron 4 right off the bat, I'm playing against all gold+ players, core jj a korean player had this happen to him and by the time he was in bronze he was literally playing with all diamond players, pretty fucking dumb to have to climb through bronze playing against diamond players
Because rank and MMR are completely disconnected.

Iron is the hardest division there is no debate. You have to carry 4 trolls against an entire legitimate team because promotions. Fucking insane hard.
in the old elo system you could queue up with 2 ranks below you, but this shouldn't happen, its preseason, so if its gonna bug out might as well be now.
Would you be less frustrated if it was called "Wood 4" instead of "Iron 4"? Best way to vent this frustration is by playing Ivern 
who is made out of wood. Plus he's just an OP champ in general, but mostly just to send Riot a message.
Riot said something about removing the 5s of of every division causing players to demote. You just have to wait for a fix.
