Honestly, I agree, it's countering the point of including people. They easily could have made this generalised advice to people who want to get into game design. Singling women out for this stuff isn't making strides forward. It's just reinforcing the negative concept that all women are weak creatures who can't stand up for themselves. I just think women's day in general is dumb, probably an unpopular opinion from my fellow girls, but i see no point in getting special attention just cause i have female parts, but what do i know.

Men are expendable in the society we live in.

But dare bring up statistics like 3 out of 4 suicides are men as well as homeless also being roughly 75% or over 90% of work related deaths are men and people call you a woman hater.

It is a reality we try to ignore.

i mean, the fact is that the most game designers are male. And riot is trying to encourage more females to play the game and become game designers etc

I literally don't understand why you men always have a problem when women get something (be it a small post like this) that men haven't gotten You men should be happy to be in the position you are right now, never had to fight for your rights

Men almost never experience work place harassment or sexism either. So why do you have to always complain

celebration of one is not exclusion the other. it's only in recent years women have started branching out into male dominated areas such as STEM and gaming, same with men in areas like nursing. there was a time where people didn't even have such a variety in their choices, mostly due to sexism. some people, even today, might still feel discouraged to go for something that's generally aimed towards the opposite gender, which is why posts like that exist. I don't see the issue. if it was saying something like "every job needs to be 50/50 men and women", just wanting to fill a quota with no value based on their skill, then I'd dislike it too. but this is just saying hey, if you're female and you want to design games, go work for it.

I think Riot has pretty much established that we are nothing but Cis Male scum and do not deserve anything.

But taking our money is ok.

I grow increasingly tired of people who can't just ignore these kinds of issues. It's not notable, you're making a mountain out of a mole hill, and it only serves to spark controversy, especially here on the boards.

We need a Gamer's International Day to be honest.

As we all know, gamers are the most oppressed group on the Internet.

An international holiday would really do wonders and help us rise up.

This thread has devolved into a mess of political/social discussions that are not allowed by the Universal Guidelines. For that reason, it's being locked.

in some cases men get better treatment, in some cases women get better treatment, know when women will ALWAYS get better treatment? the law system, the mother can be a junkie and the father perfectly fine and the women will get child custody and the father has to pay child support, the law system is so insanely biased in favor of women which I view as sexist, law system tries it's BEST to accommodate and favour women as much as possible, as if to imply women themselves wouldn't be able to fight for what's right in court.

Also let's not forget pregnancy, if you are a business you are all about making money, logic tells you a male will work for you more than a female will because females can get pregnant and be absent from work for quite a long time so obviously you will be more enticed to hire a male who will be at work longer, do I think this is right? well no but businesses, like I said, are all about making money so this seems like a logical choice to make if money is all that matters

Don't undermine advances in women's rights with noise or male entitlement + patriarchy stuff. At the end of the day, men don't have to work 22% harder just to break even and let's just say ur missing the point
