Beyond the fact that Talon is among the few champs left without lore. Why is he of all characters had a surge in popularity for a lore update?
It's not like his lack of presence in-universe has left a hole in the canon that desperately needs filling/explaining. He himself is rather monotone without any outstanding qualities, personality, nor nuance. His relationships with various characters doesn't stretch very far, concerned mostly with a faceless NPC whose status is being dead (plus his death had no discernable consequences for anyone). Talon has no destiny/goals to achieve, no greater calling except at being a skilled assassin which are dime-a-dozen in Noxus. I'd have to argue he's the most linear character in the entire game.
I'm not trying to upset anyone who would really like a Talon LU, as it's a fair demand he deserves one. Just curious why he's suddenly so appealing over plenty of other champions also lacking story? Although I had thought similar about Soraka, she's not that interesting nor impactful but it was for her where constant demand kept occurring.
