How are you supposed to climb when you gain 20LP for a win and lose 18 from a loss it makes this game impossible and not fun to play at all.

Why should you climb with a 50% winrate?

LP gains being higher than losses at all is actually a good thing. Means you have good MMR.

Huh? If you're consistently getting that, you will still rank up from a 49% win rate.

There was a time when I was on this insane win streak and was getting roughly 28 LP/win and then losing only 16 or so in a loss. Basically it all goes down to your W/L and even though the system isn't perfect, it's designed to reward those who are clearly doing well, making the system think you belong in a higher rank/division or something like that. Obviously if you are losing more, the system will think you are placed too high for your current ability and will increase the amount of LP lost/defeat. I don't have full knowledge of this sort of thing so don't quote me, this is just what I heard from someone else.
