Is breaking into Gold hard?

Every time I get to gold promos (I was approaching gold 1 in pre season which I know doesn't count but that is when this account was made) I've reached gold promos twice now (yay) Both times I was blown out in my series followed by a 10-20 string of games where the odds seem stacked against me. It feels like ten minutes ago I was starting my gold promos, so happy!! I'm 1-8 now since my promos and currently back in S2. I fear this losing streak will take me to silver 3 or 4 where I will have to endure the climb again....IT TOOK FOREVER TO BREAK INTO S1 several times only to be left short and punted to S3 again.

I'M SO UPSET!

breaking into any new division is hard, because youll be playing with the "4"s of that division, who tend to be the people who are just barely good enough to be there but too arrogant to learn more and keep climbing.

However if you belong there and arent a 4 yourself it should happen

Pop some music on, sit down, and enjoy the ride. You will find the streak will end when you stop worrying about it and just playing.

People overcomplicate things. Music helps keep your stress down and occasionally there is very satisfying moments when the music corresponds with a well played moment in league as well.... always fun lol

I've hit gold promos many times, and it feels pretty easy making the climb to it but the same thing happened to me where every time I hit it it suddenly feels like a switch gets flicked and I also go on a major lose streak 20-30 games, no throwing, no tilting, good performances on my end but almost unwinnable games non-stop resulting in an 80-90% lose streak. So whatever it's worth I can at least confirm that I feel like I've been through the same thing many times. It generally winds up in a drop From promos to gold all the way down to silver IV (used to be all the way down to silver V I get caped out at the demotion shield to bronze for a while.) then I climb back up again.

Actually after years I managed to bust into gold for the first time this season. I cheated the system a bit with the positional rank system and just 1v9d games on my positions in mid bronze to keep bandaging myself up after promo losses to return to gold promos. Eventually with the free win I got a lucky break but it felt like the system was doing everything in it's power to hold me down.

My advice to you, if you lose 2 in a row or have a really rough loss, take a break tomorrows a new day.

If I keep playing on a loss streak , I start personally playing more aggressive, forcing plays/playing almost desperate I shouldn't and it usually leads too another loss .

Losing can wear down on you, trust me . Goodluck though man I had the same problem with plat until this season , you can do it.

Also try to figure out what you could be doing better to improve

Also I have some more statistics for you , you are 3-6 vs thresh as lux . So maybe start banning thresh every game ?

I Also can't win vs thresh/brand , So basically I perma ban thresh every game , and dodge vs brand . Doing that alot has probably saved me many games
